APE Issues: The sad APE

"All software has undiscovered bugs," I don't recall who said this.
"A bug dressed in a business suit is a feature," I'd rather not know who said this.
APE issues being worked on as of 4/5/08:
1. When multiple COM ports are available on the PC hosting APE they appear in the dropdown list out of order. If the first COM port on the list, currently opened by default, is not available an error is displayed before the program is loaded. Workaround is to acknowledge the error message, select another COM port and then select the desired port.
2. CP/M BIOS & APE do not signal an error if a drive letter is requested that is NOT currently assigned to a file inside APE. Rather operations are directed to the previously selected drive letter. Workaround is to ensure that ALL drive letters you intend to use with APE are assigned to files prior to accessing them through CP/M.
When these issues are corrected new versions of APE, and CP/M configurations will be posted.
Issues corrected in version 1.0.2.0:
1. APE no longer trys to select a default COM port on startup. Dropdown list of COM ports is now sorted properly.
2. CP/M will now wait for an unassigned drive letter to be selected inside APE and assigned to a new or existing file. Once this operation is completed CP/M will continue the operation on the newly assigned drive letter.
